Urban Legend

Urban Legend has always had a special gift when it comes to rhyming. He began rhyming in 2001 when he hooked up with one of his current producers, Yemi. Yemi realized Urban Legends talented and unique flow, and started Headbanga Ent. They released their first album, “Headbangas Vol. 1”, in 2002. That album drew a buzz in the little town of Platteville, WI, where he was attending school at the University. In 2003, Headbangas released their second album, which was titled, “Headbangas Vol. 2”. That album starred Urban Legend and sold over 100 copies, and forced the small city of Platteville to become more prominent in hip-hop. They rocked shows at the local clubs and at the annual hip-hop night. They were the pioneers and now Platteville has hip-hop acts performing regularly. It wasn't until 2004 that he linked up with his brother Freak-A-Style. Once those two got together it was poetry in motion and everything just clicked. The first single they worked on was “Round and Round”, which became an instant classic. Then K-Mone$ joined and they formed the group “La Cosa Nostra”. They released their first album, “Just Doin’ Our Thang”, in 2005. It is a nice blend of hip-hop, rap, soul and reggae. The album was nominated for the best hip-hop album of the year at the Madison Area Music Awards, which is a local ceremony that supports all blends of music. The song titled, “Stay Spittin”, won the Midwest section for best hip-hop song. He left La Cosa Nostra in 2006 to pursue his solo career and changed his name from P-Killa to Urban Legend. He is currently working on his debut solo album which is entitled "Keeper of the Flame". It is going to be a pure hip-hop album and will certainly make a big splash. Urban Legend is destined for big things.
